Low code Solution for
Loan Origination System
Background
At CredAble, our Loan Origination System (LOS) module is a vital part of our offerings, helping clients streamline their lending processes and improve their financial operations. However, the manual customization process was slowing us down, affecting our scalability and our ability to meet diverse client needs

“Manually customising everything makes it tough to create a user-friendly interface for all our clients. Each one needs something different.”
“Having to manually tweak the code for each client is a nightmare. It makes the system hard to maintain and bugs are more likely to creep in.”
“I spend so much time customising the system for each client that it cuts into my productivity.”
“Setting up the system for each client proposal by hand takes forever, making it hard to respond quickly to client questions and close deals efficiently.”
Challenge
Each client required a unique white-label experience for their LOS module, which meant extensive work for our designers, product managers, and tech teams. Customizing each journey took between 4-8 weeks, causing delays and preventing us from scaling efficiently.
Goals
We decided to tackle this challenge by using low-code technology for our LOS journey. The goal was to simplify the customization process, cut down development time, and allow clients to easily personalise their white-label journey.
Usability
Speed up the LOS module customisation process.
Handle multiple customisations simultaneously.
Ensure a seamless experience for both internal teams and clients.
Reduce the workload on designers, product managers, and tech teams.
Maintain high standards in customised LOS modules.
Metrics to evaluate success
Average time for customization per client.
Number of simultaneous customizations per month.
Target: Increase by 50% in six months.
Client satisfaction scores.
Hours spent on customization tasks.
Number of reported issues post-deployment.
Competitor Analysis
We decided to tackle this challenge by using low-code technology for our LOS journey. The goal was to simplify the customization process, cut down development time, and allow clients to easily personalise their white-label journey.
Research, Brainstorms, and Wireframes
We researched similar products that use low-code technology to understand industry standards and best practices. Additionally, I received valuable feedback from project managers who shared their insights into the pain points of the current customization process.
We conducted several workshops with stakeholders, including our internal teams, to gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, and validate design concepts. These collaborative sessions fostered alignment across teams and ensured that the low-code solution met the needs of both internal stakeholders and end-users.
A key challenge was defining a color scheme that would work well across all products. To address this, we decided to leverage a single primary color and its tonal variations as secondary and supporting colors. This approach simplified the white-labeling process and ensured consistency.
Throughout the project, I provided strategic direction, facilitated communication between teams, and ensured that the project remained on track to meet its objectives. By effectively leading and collaborating with the team, we successfully delivered a solution that exceeded expectations and delivered tangible business value.

Logo Upload and Header Customisation
For logo upload, I set a fixed size of 220x (SVG or PNG format). For the header row, I provided an option for users to input the exact row height to match their brand guidelines. Additionally, if there are colour variations like Axis, PNB, or ABFL, users can select the colour and specify the percentage to display in the header row, ensuring brand consistency.

Journey Module selection
While creating new program user has to select the modules. for that scenario we created section where user can select and deselect by clicking or by drag and drop option. We also created opt where user can create new module.
Click & Drag: Users can select and deselect modules quickly, reducing cognitive load and speeding up the process.
On-Demand Module Creation: Users can create new modules instantly, providing flexibility to tailor programs to specific needs.
These features follow Fitts's Law for faster interactions and the Flexibility-Usability Tradeoff, improving efficiency, satisfaction, and adaptability.

Manage Table function
Since the table can display various data types, we provided users with options to manage the sequence and visibility of columns. This allows users to customize the table view to better suit their needs.

Login screens
We made CredAble's borrower onboarding smoother by creating common screens for login, signup, password recovery, and two-factor authentication. This unified design ensures that users have a consistent and secure experience, making it easier to navigate and use all entry points.

By effectively leading and collaborating with the team, we successfully delivered a solution that exceeded expectations and delivered tangible business value.
By transitioning to a low-code approach, we reduced the time required for each white-label customization from 4-8 weeks to just 2-3 weeks. This faster turnaround enabled us to onboard new clients more efficiently and quickly respond to their customization requests.
Through effective leadership and collaboration, we delivered a solution that not only met but exceeded expectations, providing tangible business value.

Outcome
By switching to a low-code approach, we cut the customization time from 4-8 weeks to just 2-3 weeks. This faster turnaround helped us onboard new clients more quickly and respond to their customization requests faster.
Through good leadership and teamwork, we delivered a solution that met and even exceeded expectations, adding real value to the business.
This project was a big change for CredAble. Using low-code technology, we made the customization process easier, reduced client frustration, and improved satisfaction by following basic UX principles. This case study shows how smart UX design can solve tough problems and help a business succeed.
