Background
UpScale.cash, a platform launched by CredAble, serves as an all-in-one business solution primarily targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India. The platform offers various financial services, including unsecured business loans, invoice discounting, and comprehensive cash flow and credit management tools.

Challange
How can we simplify the invoice creation process for business owners on both web and mobile platforms?
When UpScale approached us, they had a vision: to create a platform that would simplify financial operations for small businesses, freelancers, and accountants. They wanted an intuitive system for generating invoices, whether individually or in bulk, along with automated features for payment reminders. This project was not just about building a tool, but about creating a seamless and efficient experience from the ground up.
During our initial discussions, the UpScale team outlined several key requirements:
Time Efficiency: Users needed to quickly create and send invoices.
Bulk Invoicing: The system had to handle bulk invoices efficiently.
Automated Follow-ups: There was a need for automated reminders to ensure timely payments.
We understood that achieving these goals required a deep dive into the users' needs and workflows.
Design with Solutions
1. Fast Onboarding and easy joinery to create first Invoice
I redesigned the interface to be clean and user-friendly. By decluttering the layout and using a consistent design language, I made the process visually appealing and intuitive. This followed the aesthetic-usability effect, where a pleasant design improves user satisfaction and performance.
Invoice Layout
Users needed a clear, easy-to-use layout for creating and editing invoices.
Designed a simple, two-column layout with a real-time preview of the invoice, allowing users to see changes instantly.
3. Customisation
Users wanted the ability to customise invoice templates.
Added a template customisation feature with drag-and-drop elements, allowing users to personalise their invoices.
4. Mobile Experience
To provide mobile users a streamlined experience without losing functionality.we created a mobile-specific design with a collapsible menu and large, touch-friendly buttons for ease of use on smaller screens.
Why It Work
The design of UpScale focuses on making things clear so users can easily use all the features. Following the rules of good user experience makes UpScale easy to use and enjoyable, keeping users happy. Customising the experience for each user makes them feel more connected and keeps them coming back, building loyalty.
Overall, UpScale's design reflects a user-centric approach, leveraging UX laws and principles to deliver a compelling and effective solution for small businesses' financial needs.
