Background
Before we created the Koi Design system, all of CredAble's products had different colour themes. When we were just starting out, we made each product stand out with its own colour. We thought this would help people easily recognise each product and show that we cover all angles in working capital solutions.
As time went on, we realised that having different colours for each product wasn't the best way to tie them all back to CredAble, especially since our brand logo only had one colour (๐). That's when we made the decision to bring all the products together under one colour scheme.
Also, when we first started CredAble as a startup, we didn't have a clear voice to guide us in how we talked about our products, marketing, and articles.
Why Koi?
The reason I chose the name "Koi" is quite special. The koi fish symbolises qualities like perseverance, determination, success, and strength. In Japanese stories, the koi fish is known for bringing good luck and prosperity. Visually, the koi fish connects with CredAble's brand colours.
